Family Secret Spaghetti

Learn how to make thee best spaghetti ever! The story behind the Family Secret Spaghetti: over quarantine in 2020, my family tried several variations of spaghetti sauces to find the perfect flavor that helped our acid reflux.
Although it isn’t that much of a secret anymore now that you have it!

Ingredients
- Pasta: Any type of pasta will work, whatever you have used or like to use for spaghetti is perfect. I grew up always having angel hair pasta in my spaghetti because it isn't as thick and takes less time to prepare than spaghetti pasta.
- Red Sauce: The brand Rao's has helped my acid reflex by miles, I recommend this brand but any will work.
- Alfredo: The brand Rao's has helped my acid reflex by miles, I recommend this brand but any will work.
- Protein: Any form of ground meat will work. Imaged is 16oz of ground venison but is not specific to this recipe, I have switched up meats before and it doesn't change too much.
- Spices: Italian seasoning, all-purpose greek seasoning, and the super secret spice, sugar! This "tones" down the acidicness of the sauce.
Pro-Tips
- Add salt and olive oil to your pasta water before putting your pasta in!
- To taste = shake it until it looks like it's enough! You can always add more but you can't take any out after it has been put in1
- For removing the grease from the cooked meat, I like to tilt the pan slightly, with the meat still in it to create a pocket for a piece of folded paper towel to soak up all the grease, repeat multiple times if necessary.
Storage
I store the pasta and sauce separately, this way when it comes to leftovers, you can especially choose how much of each you want. (Store your sauce in a glass container so it doesn’t stain the walls of the plastic container.)

Ingredients
- 14.5oz Barilla protein+ angel hair pasta
- 15 oz Rao's garlic alfredo sauce
- 8 oz Rao's garlic red sauce
- 16oz ground meat of choice
- italian seasoning to taste
- all-purpose greek seasoning to taste
- 1/2 Tbsp sugar
Instructions
1. Fill up a pot with water, add salt and ~1 Tbsp olive oil to water, and bring to a boil.
2. Follow directions per pasta of choice.
3. Brown ground meat until fully cooked. For smaller pieces of meat, constantly move the meat around, it will break down into smaller pieces.
3. Once the meat is fully cooked, drain the grease using pieces of paper towel and dispose of them.
4. Drain the pasta once cooked per instructions.
5. Add garlic alfredo, garlic red sauce, italian seasoning, all-purpose greek seasoning, and sugar to the meat to create the sauce.
6. Combine meat sauce and pasta in a bowl or on a plate.
7. Enjoy!
