Ingredients
- Protein: Any form of ground meat will work. Imaged is 16oz of ground venison but is not specific to this recipe.
- Spice: I use Old El Paso Original Taco Seasoning Mix.
- Container: Are you team soft shell or hard shell? It doesn't matter because both will work!
- Toppings: Add whatever toppings you'd like! An example of toppings I use are diced tomatoes, bell peppers, lettuce, cheese of choice, sour cream, salsa, beans, etc.
Pro-Tips
- I use less than the recommended based on the directions on the seasoning mix. For 16 oz of brown meat, I use 1/2 cup of water to 1/8 cup of seasoning.
- For removing the grease from the cooked meat, I like to tilt the pan slightly, with the meat still in it to create a pocket for a piece of folded paper towel to soak up all the grease, repeat multiple times if necessary.
- Create a buffet style with all your toppings, it makes it easeir to pile on everything you want to add to your tacos!
Storage
Store leftover meat in a glass container, should last 3-4 days in the fridge.

- all the toppings you desire

1. Brown ground meat until fully cooked and drain excess grease using paper towels to soak it up and dispose of it.
2. Once fully cooked add seasoning and water and stir until desired thickness.
3. Choose hard or soft shell and pile on all the toppings!
*My go-to weird midwestern style of taco is layered, meat, cheese, lettuce, bell peppers, and ranch… the meat will melt the cheese while the lettuce creates a layer between the hot and fresh chilly items!
