Ingredients
- Protein: Imaged is a venison roast but any type of roast will work as well, there is also zero weight limit on the protein because however much you put in will depend on how tender or "pull apart" the roast becomes.
- Carrots: I like to use baby carrots because it saves me time since I can just chuck them in and I know they'll be perfect once the roast is done.
- Potatoes: Any size, shape, or form of potatoes will work. I like to use baby reds from the Little Potato Company, but Yukon gold or russet potatoes that are chopped into bite-size pieces will work perfectly as well.
- Onion: Use a white onion and use however much you want chopped into the sizes you want. I chop mine in different sizes so it is easier for my roommates to not only pick them out but also not even notice them. Onion adds flavor, do not take it out of the recipe!
- Spices: Garlic salt is the only seasoning used and is to taste but you will need more than you think you will need so give it an extra 6 shakes after you think it's good!
- Water: Helps steam and tenderize all ingredients.
Pro-Tips
- Don't add extra carrots unless you like everything to taste like carrots, foudn that out the hard way. Recipe is correct in how much to put in crockpot.
- Add however many potatoes you would like for each serving per person.
- To taste = shake it until it looks like it's enough! With this recipe you need more than you think so add a little extra even after you think its enough.
Storage
Store in a glass container with liquids to keep the moisture. Stays fresh for about 3-4 days.
