Ingredients
- Oats: Use rolled oats or old-fashioned oats. Any oats will work as well. Instant oats will also work, they are just a smaller cut of oats.
- Flax Seed Meal: For an extra feeling of fullness, I use flax seed meal to make it more filling.
- Honey: I like to use raw honey from a local family friend but any honey will work. Although it has not been tested, maple syrup could work too.
- Peanut Butter: Any peanut butter will work, creamy, crunchy, or powdered.
- Vanilla Extract (Not Pictured): A small dash of vanilla extract adds a bit of sweetness.
- Shredded Coconut: Any shredded coconut will work.
- Mini Chocolate Chips: Mini chocolate chips work best, regular sized chocolate chips take up too much space within the ball.
- Dried Cranberries: Any type of dried cranberries will work.
Pro-Tips
- Putting these into the fridge is a MUST if not the mixture is more prone to falling apart.
- If you don't have a cookie scoop, using two spoons and rolling them yourself works just as great.
- Make sure you don't over-measure your oats or add-ins!
- If your mixture is falling apart, add a little bit of honey. The same goes for if your mixture is too "wet" add some oats.
Storage
In the fridge: Will last up to a week in the fridge.
In the freezer: Will last a rather long time, they will be eaten before any could think about expiring.
Alterations
- It says to add salt directly to the mixture, I like to add slightly crushed flaky salt on top.
